Sterling Harris

 

Sterling’s mission is to inspire children and adults of all ages to overcome adversity and to give to others
in the process.

 

 
 

Sterling Harris was born in Dallas TX and grew up in Terrell. Sterling was a high school football standout with an array of awards including: Super-Prep All-American, All-State, All-Area, and All-District, he was also a top four finalist for Class 4A player of the year in the State of Texas. He also excelled in the class room as an honor roll student and graduated in the top 10% of his class from Terrell High School and was voted Best All Around Boy  his senior year. During this time he also owned and operated his own company specializing in Acreage Mowing and Bulldozer work.

During his years at SMU, Sterling worked for a variety of companies that include Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, State Farm Insurance, Sewell Motor Companies and ORIX Real Estate Capital Markets where he refined his business skills. Sterling holds a Business Management degree from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He holds a Texas Real Estate License as well as a Group I Insurance License. While attending SMU he was a four year football letterman at the right tackle position. After graduation he signed an NFL contract with the Cleveland Browns. Sterling suffered a broken foot his rookie season. After battling back from the injury the Browns sent him to NFL Europe where he played and started at the offensive tackle position for the Frankfurt Galaxy. Sterling was forced into early retirement by a reoccurring foot injury he suffered in NFL Europe after only his second year in the NFL.

Sterling brings ten years of management, sales, leadership, and communications experience. He currently owns and operates S. Infinite Holdings, LLC that specializes in wealth management, private capital, real estate, commodities and finance. An active speaker, Sterling Harris has served on a Student Advisory Council for the Terrell School District in his home town of Terrell, Texas. He also gives an annual scholarship to student athletes who demonstrate leadership in their individual sports as well as in the class room. Sterling is also involved in the Dallas based Discovery program. He is constantly seeking opportunities to help at-risk-kids.

Overcoming adversity in Sterling’s life has shaped the person he is today. Through solid role models and being self motivated, Sterling has been able to overcome his own adversity. He has always had a giving. This spirit really bloomed at 13 when he asked his parents to adopt DD, his friend who was virtually homeless. By giving DD an opportunity to have a better life; DD empowered and inspired Sterling to reach higher at achieving his goals. That empowerment has shaped Sterling into the man he is today. Through DD and Sterling’s story they want to inspire people to reach higher; to overcome the adversity and to help your fellow human being. Sterling goal is to illustrate how through giving to another person we all can empower each other to achieve higher goals. Sterling wants to inspire other people to reach higher and to help one another unselfishly.
